First step to e herms

Picked up 2 kegs for 40 bucks today one is stainless other is aluminum. Plan is to use one for hlt with herms coil and the other as boil kettle. I have a cooler mash tun that I'll use as the third vessel. View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1447205415.252675.jpg this will be a slow build but this is a start. Time to cut this thing up and drill some holes

If you're going electric I highly recommend going bottom drain for your hlt. Just food for thought before you start chopping.

I'd go bottom drain on everything. No wort loss for the MT, and so much easier cleaning on the BK.

Go to brewhardware.com, click equipment, click vessel/system conversion kit, click keg conversion, then you'll see the sanke bottom drain kit.

Turns out both my kegs are stainless. Not bad for 40 bucks

If you do decide to do a bottom drain, I highly recommend getting one of these keg stackers. I have one for my bottom drain mashtun and it works great.
