Things were a little rocky, as expected. Learned a few things though.

Not sure about the sparge process. Should it still take a long time, like 30-45 minutes? I went through all my sparge water in about number 10 minutes. Tough to throttle the pumps.

My sparges usually take about 45-60 minutes for a 5 gallon batch. What pumps are you using? I do have to throttle my Chuggers down almost all the way to get a good rate.
 
March 809. One item that's a waste is the Stout sparge arm. Need to run the pump too high to make it work. The herms process already gets a nice level of liquid over the bed. Think I'll skip it next time.
