Okay so I just got a Octoberfest kit and it stated that the lager yeast (dry) it comes with does well at ale temperatures.

So I open the box to read the directions and it state that during secondary fermentation I should try to achieve a range of 35-42F. refrigerating my secondary isn't really an option as my wife will probably kill me if i put it in our already cramped fridge. So do I have any options during the secondary?

All/Any advice is much appreciated.:mug:

Well I am a newbie and this may be a beer 'no no', but if you haven't already started the process, I would set the lager yeast aside for later and use an ale yeast. I just did an Oktoberfest and used a dry ale yeast and it turned out very nice. The room I ferment in is too warm for lager yeast, right now. I figure I'll save the lagers for winter and colder temps.
