Hello-
I have been carbonating my first corny for the past few days and everything seemed to be going fine, until today. Been using the set it forget it method. (10-12 psi)

I decided I wanted to test the progress today so I lowered the corny down to 5-7 (what I have read was the best for dispensing ) and my lid started to leak. I bumped it back up to 30 psi to set the lid, then back to 5-7 and it stared leaking again.

So, my question is.....How can I keep 10-12 psi on the keg so the lid won't leak, and drop to 5-7 for dispensing? The lid appears to be in good shape and I replaced the o-ring when I filled it. :(

Thanks in advance for any help.

yeah if it drop to 7 you will eventually lose the carbonation level of your beer. You might wanna pick up some keg lube for you orings as well.

Thanks Mike. I'll pick up some tomorrow when I go to my LBS. :ban:
Guess I'll just keep the psi around 10 then. Thank you.

is you lower the psi for "dispensing" you are going to lower the volumes of carbonation as well thus letting your beer go nearly flat.

if 10-12 psi is getting your the correct carbonation levels, yet your pour is to fast it looks like you need a longer serving line to create more resistance and slow the beer down.

in addition to keg lube your little feet on the lid might be bent thus not letting them squeeze tight enough to make a tight seal
