I just tried my first kegged beer and it seems like it's flat. I brewed a Raspberry Wheat and this is what I did.
1. I Put the kegged beer in the fridge at 40F and set it at 13psi and did the set it and forget it method for 2 weeks.
2. After 2 weeks, I poured the beer and it had a lot of head, but no carbonation. The beer lines I'm using are 5' of 3/16" and 1/4" barbed swivel nut, black threaded ball lock disconnect.
3. I check the connections by pulling up on the release valve and did hear co2 coming out and I heard co2 rush back into the tank once I closed the release valve .
4. I tried lowering to 5psi and this time when I poured, no foam, but just a hint of carbonation. Closest thing I could describe it taste like is club soda.
Not sure what to do, don't know if it just still needs to carbonate more or if I'm doing something wrong or if I have it set at the wrong PSI setting. I'm trying to get this beer ready for our house warming party on Saturday. Any help would be great and I would appreciate it. Thanks
