First keg attempt. PSI question!

Hey, this is my first kegging attempt and i have a question.

I have 2 corny kegs in my fridge and a 5lb tank. All brand new equip, except for the kegs. My reg reading before i started to force carbonate was 800 and now less than 24hrs later my reading is 550 or so. That seems like a big loss of pressure to me. I dont hear a leak.

Could it be that the kegs and fridge were room temp befor i started to force carb at 30psi? Or, is that a normal inital loss?

Lowering the temp on the tank has lowered your pressure your probably not leaking

My tank settles to about 500 once a fresh one is put in the fridge. It is the temperature, not a leak.

Yup, what they said. This is normal behavior if you keep the tank in the fridge.
