I'm attempting to grow hops for the first time and because I'm a beginner grower I figured that allowse to use this thread. I surprisingly got little help from people on the growing forum so I'll try this one. Anyways I got three types in large planters two crowns and one small three inch plant. I planted them in merciless grow potting soil with a little sand to add as a filler but I have a few questions. Was it to early to plant hops and since I live in Atlanta where we have mild fall and winters will these plants really grow much before spring or will they be pretty much dormant? Also I planted them in pots because the house I just bought and moved into doesn't have the right growing space yet. I'm going to cut down many tall pines to allow for more sunlight. Can I transplant hop plants? How much sunlight a d water do these plants need when they are this young or small? I can post Pics of that will help. One is a Columbus crown a helleratu crown and a cascade plant. Any help would be great
