this is going to be my second brew overall. i just picked up the ingredients from my lhbs to brew my first hefe...cant wait

Good luck! I just tried mine that I brewed a month or so ago. One word of wisdom though...I used gypsum and irish moss...and my Hefe didn't have that cloudiness that it was supposed to have. I didn't think about it at the time I was brewing. I assume that this is the reason the beer is clear. I am fairly new as well. Just my 2 cents.

all that came in my kit was perle hops so i guess we will see what happens...the guy at the shop told me this is one of his favorite recipes and has been brewing it for 13 years so we will see...how did yours taste

Pretty good, no complaints really. The only thing is I was shooting for the clove flavor to be more predominate flavor, but I think the bananas won that fight. I was told higher fermentation temps (70ish) causes more banana flavor, and lower (65 ish) the yeast produce more of the clove taste.

yeah im looking for a more banana flavor man i cant wait to brew it...i have a red ale in the primary right now
