Sorry to bother y’all I’m starting my first ever brew using Morgan’s Australian Lager . And on the can it says to use 2 liters of hot water with the can and 1 kg of dextrose/ sugar . Does that mean I can use 1 kg of normal sugar from the supermarket?

Yes, but you'll get much better results using 1 kg of light dry malt extract.
Thanks I live in Japan so it’s very difficult and long to get the stuff I need that’s why I was hoping to just use normal sugar this time then I’ll buy grains for brewing in a bag since that will be cheaper for me

The dextrose/sugar will not add any significant flavour to the beer. It will add to the alcohol content though if that is the goal.

what kind of grains do you plan to use? i ask because when i first started brewing, i didn't know they needed to be malted....

I’m not sure yet. I want to brew ales so I’ll just look at some recipes and buy what I can get here .
