That is really up to you. If there is a style you always want around then maybe keep making that style and keep tweeking it to perfection, on the other hand there are things you can learn from one style that will help with another. For example making a Pale ale and learning how to get it clear as can be will help you make any beer clearer while you also get a handle on exactly which hops you want to combine and when to add them. If you can ferment more than one at a time, or maybe even if you only have room for one, you could always do both. You could keep one style you are constantly working on around as well as another batch that is something different. Personally I like variety and experimentation, I have two kegs, I typically try to keep one full of something different and nontraditional, currently I have a Juniper Pale Ale in one, while in the other I typically do a more classic style, a stout is almost ready to go in the other keg. This way I get variety but also have something on hand for those that are less adventurous, both are constantly changing and I often try to fit the beer to the season, this means I may not make the same thing for quite some time. In cases like that the key to getting your beer right is to keep good notes and be sure to take tasting notes a couple times per batch and comment on your thoughts about how to make it better while you are doing your tasting, it will take more time but you can still perfect a style this way, you just have to figure out what you and your fiance really want out of your beer.

The TLDR summary- You need to figure out what you want out of your brewing to answer that one!

Yea bad choice of wording on that one. We just ordered a new BrewDemon from Northern Brew w/ a 2 gal batch of bourbon barrel stout and 5 gals of a Cream Ale and an Irish Red Ale. Should be fun.
