Just finished brewing my first beer. Grat experience and can't wait to do it again! This one was an Oktoberfest. The real trick will/be getting some of it to last until October! I figure if any of it does it'll be well aged and really good by then!

Congratulations.....the first brew is a great experience.......something new and exciting........I like the picture BTW, that pretty much captures the essence of homebrewing. A simple, yet respectable plastic fermenter with a livingroom / baby play pen in the background.....Nice.

That's great. I actually did my first brew today since my son was born in November. Wife was at work so it was just Ben and me.

Be careful. This hobby is addictive

Bottled last night and can't wait to try it! I'm putting one case away till October (at least that's the plan) but ill enjoy some of it in about 3 weeks!

Congrats on the hobby, the first brew, and welcome to HBT !

two weeks in the fermenter? for an Octoberfest? Hmm.

for giggles - go brew another one, same recipe. Let it ferment 5-6 weeks with careful temperature control, and keep at least one of them until October, or whenever you finish up the first batch - just for comparison. you'll be surprised at the results. peruse the beginner section for consensus.

Congrats. I literally squealed when I saw my first airlock bubbles on my first brew. Not that you should use that as a judge of fermentation.
