I'm making an Amber Ale (see attached photo). I have all the ingredients.

I've only made the extract beers (from the cans) up to now and with these I add 1kg of sugar before fermentation.

The Amber Ale recipe doesn't say anything about adding sugar. Do I need to add additional sugar to the recipe before fermenting or is it just the ingredients on the recipe?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Ian

You will be getting all your sugar from the grains during the mash. I notice it doesn't give a mash temp. Shoot for about 152-154 IMO. Are you doing BIAB or a traditional 3 vessel type of mash?

No sugar. That is what the mash is for; getting the sugars out of the grain.
