The training wheels are off! I'm brewing my first batch on my own, decided to go with a belgian strong ale I'll let you all know how it goes. So far it's off to a good start except my wife isn't too fond of the smell. Smells like beer to me. Let you know how it goes.

Give a man a beer and he'll waste an hour, teach him to brew beer and he'll waste a life time :cross:

Way to go! Good Luck, I'm brewing my second batch Sunday afternoon. Did an American Pale Ale the first time, made more mistakes than you can imagine and it came out great. Everyone who tasted it wants more. I'm trying the same recipe without all the mistakes, I hope it turns out as good.

In order to Keep the Peace with My SO, I had to buy a propane burner so I could brew outside. Best thing I did. Now she actually encourages my brewing...

Good luck. It is a fun hobby.
