I may be over thinking and worrying too much but this is my first aplwein and followed Edworts recipe except for the yeast I used lalvin Ec-1118..... The question is this I am used to homebrewing beer and when I do there is heavy activity in the airlock with 9-24 hours. With this apflwein I am getting activity after 24 but it is really slow like a bubble every couple minutes. Is this normal? Also there is no Krausen but a ring of "foam" once again is this normal or did I do something wrong. Thanks for the input.
