I've been brewing all grain with a buddy for a while now but he's always done the recipes. I wanted to try my hand at it so I made one up using the BrewPal app and I want critiques, advice, feedback, etc. I was shooting for an American Pale Ale...

"Pirate Hooker Pale Ale"

11 lb - 2 Row
1 lb - Munich
1 lb - CaraPils

1 oz Cascade at 60 min
1 oz Cascade at 15 min
1 oz Willamette at 0 min

What say you experienced folks?

That's a lot of crystal malt.

+1 I wouldn't use much more than a pound total of crystal malt. Also, don't be afraid of the higher crystal malts, like 60 L. Hops look fine..though if it were me I would probably reduce that 20 min cascade addition to 5-15 min..but that is just personal preference completely. Good luck :mug: What yeast are you using?

I agree with this. Also, adding some Munich adds another layer of flavor and body as well.

I wouldn't be afraid to add two or three lbs of two row myself, and yeah that is a lot of crystal. Maybe try one lb

Ad yeah, yeast? Maybe California ale yeast?
