So I got all my grain today to brew a American brown ale that I want to put coffee beans in the secondary this will be my first all grain brew kinda nervous so any suggestions would be great I don't want to mess this up

good luck bro. i haven't been man enough to try an all grain brew. take pics... let me know how it went for ya. i'm getting ready to try it.

I realize you have brewed in the past but if you really wanna see how that all-grainer would turn out then I recommend no coffee. See what all grain has to offer in terms of flavor for you and what to expect, because if you add that coffee and the brew taste like poo then you won't really know why. Could be the coffee, could be you messed up somewhere with the first batch, you won't know until you get a few ag's under your belt.....

Great! Post your recipe and steps. We'll take a look at it.

Are you adding the whole coffee beans to secondary? +1^ Keep it simple.

awesome. can't wait, i'm really considering going all grain.

Don't let all grain intimidate you,it is not hard.It was harder for me to try and read and grasp it all until I got the gear and went for it.Once I had my gear it was pretty straight forward.

Good luck! BIAB is a great way to brew some great beer. What are you using for your bag? Did you double crush your grain?

Cheers!

I bought a nylon brew bag from my lhbs and they crushed the grain for me not sure if they double crushed.dose that matter?

Nice! I used a paint strainer bag for my first BIAB, and the quickly went out and got a bigger bag from my LHBS.

Some ppl double crush their grain to get higher efficiency because with BIAB you dont need to worry about setting up a grain bed. I would assume they just single crushed, but I wouldn't worry. Brew away, take your gravity readings/calculate your efficiency. If its lower than you'd like consider double crushing next time.

Cheers!
