I am soooo!! AMPED!! I hit the SG on my first crack at Lagering. The recipe called for 1.012 and I hit it!! When I tasted the beer when transfering i was so good I could have drank it without carbonation. Freakin Awsome!!!
That's a good feeling. I don't have the means to do a true lager, but in the winter months I sometimes ferment certain beers with WLP810 which is the Anchor Steam yeast. It's an ale yeast that ferments out, leaving lager-like characteristics.
