Oh, it's heavy-duty restaurant quality stuff. Not sure of the exact wall thickness as I haven't measured it, but I'd have to guess 3/16" or 1/4" Certainly heavy enough to support a bulkhead and valve IMHO.

It's worked great on the two batches I've used it on so far. The extra space is invaluable.

i am currently using 10 gallon versions of these in my setup and the walls are the perfect thickness to make for easy drilling and stability to support the bulkheads.
 
I've had my 15gal for a little while now, and broke it in the other week. It's absolutely massive and beautiful! And because it has a rather large base, it conveniently fits over two gas burners on my stove, so I can manage a 5 gallon batch quite nicely on my stove :D. Very sturdy, too; feels like I could abuse this thing pretty badly without any problems.
