My latest NEIPA finished fermenting - 13 days - and I racked it to my keg. I had done one dry hopping of 3 oz that i had left in the fermentor from day 2 to day 6, using a hop basket thing that removed. Being concerned about introducing O2 i skipped the second dry hop addition and instead decided to add a bit more hop aroma by filtering my finished brew through some hops pellets as i transferred it to the keg. I used my hops filter basket which is narrow enough to fit into the keg, lowered it on a string with an oz of citra and oz of galaxy, gave the keg a good shot of CO2 to displace the air, then stuck my transfer tube down into the hops basket and let her rip. It seemed to work and accomplish my goal of getting some good mixture of this hops into my brew. I’ll carb it for a few days and if im not too drunk to remember, I’ll post a follow up to let you know how this worked out in terms of hops aroma success. Any one else ever try something like this?
