I am looking at filtering the beer I brew for clarity and longevity (but not necessarily all of the various types). My questions are these:

Do you bother filtering? If so, do you cold crash prior to kegging or bottling?

If you filter, what types of beer do you filter?

What if any, filtering products are you using to finish your beer when you keg or bottle?

Do you use CO2 or a pump to move beer?

If you use a filtration system, what type of filter do you use (less than 1, 1, 5 micron etc.)?

Have you noticed a difference in filtration between brands, if you have tried different manufacturers?

I don't filter, but most of my brews get a 5-7 day cold crash before kegging. If the beer is a style that is expected to be crystal clear, I'll fine with gelatin (either in the fermenter or the keg), otherwise I just let gravity do it's thing. I do a closed transfer from primary to the keg with CO2. I also back feed CO2 to the fermenter while the beer is dropping temp during the cold crash.

I never filter my ales. I do get very clear by fermenting 3-4 weeks for simple brews. Sometimes I cold crash but not for a long time here are two brews. One cold crashed the other not. Pretty much look the same to me.
