Filling Growlers

I did a search, and couldn't find anything on this.

I imagine it's possible to fill a growler from a homebrew keg. (to be consumed in the next few days, obviously).

Worth a shot?
 
Of course! Shouldn't be any issue. If you'd have a length of hose or something you could use to fill the growler from the bottom that would be even better.
 
I do this all the time, never go anywhere without a growler. However a week at most for storage space since it will lose carbonation in the growler.
 
If I am planning on consuming the beer in my growler the same day I will simply fill it off the tap. If it is going to be a few days before I drink it I will fill it with BMBG and use a large stopper.
