It depends on what you're looking for, if it's just a full allotment of this years you can probably jump in line an hour or two before they open and get it. If your looking for vintage then probably by like 5 am.
Thanks. Mainly just the ones that aren’t being sold outside of Chicago, not super concerned about vintage bottles. Maybe I’ll head there on Friday and try to buy the chi only bottles from someone outside of the store if i don’t have any success. Thanks!

Just show up at like 8am at Lincoln Park, if it is like the last two years, you will be good.

Agreed that you should be okay for a full set if you arrive by then. Last year, I got there at 9 and was one of the last 5 people to get a full set.

You should count on the line moving very slowly, though. I didn't get out of there until after Noon. Which isn't a knock against how Binny's had it set-up - I sincerely think they did everything right but you can only process so many people through the line so quickly.

Cafe Deth is fantastic. I can’t say it’s better than last year, just different. I liked the fruit forward coffee last year. This years is more traditional darker roast coffee, but knocked out of the park. I know I’m just reiterating the love days later.

Hard to believe this is 14.8%. Big thanks to a buddy who attended the release and grabbed a four pack. He unfortunately did not share the cherry.

No idea but I'm going myself, so it doesn't really matter.

What I’m getting at is if you “just” bought a ticket, which sold out in seconds a few weeks ago, you better hope they don’t give a **** about names matching or they allow people to transfer tickets. When you bought the tickets you had to provide names for each attendee you were buying for.

No idea wtf you are talking about -- tix are for sale online homie

Gets talked out of standing in line like the rest of us idiots. Scores tickets to something we thought was sold out.

10 AM will probably have the least amount of clowns so I’m glad I’m in that one. O/U on how long it takes for someone to ask the brewers when they’ll make vanilla again?

10 am is the cool kids session. Then we go elsewhere and get blitzed on variants until we can't stand.

Last year they did 1100 ticketed allocations. We showed up at 9 and were 1115 and still got full allocations. About 10 more people behind us also got full allocations.

I've been told the quantity of allocations will be higher this year, but there may not be vintage bottles for the total quantity of regular allocations.

Went to Proprietors Day last weekend, and took some quick pictures I posted above. If I was ranking Bourbon County for 2017 my list would look like this

Reserve
Coffee
Proprietors
Regular
Barleywine

Northwoods

As I found the blueberry / almond to be artificial tasting and way too sweet even in a 3oz or so pour. Was a fun event that was really well run aside from having another area to pour as the main warehouse was just a mass of humanity for most of the afternoon.

Stopped at my local Jewel this morning because they were listed as receiving variants and I pass it on my way to work. The variant they put out was 9 bottles of barleywine at 1 per person. The regular was 6 bottles per person priced at $10.89 each. I got there at 6:45 and nobody else was there. By 7 am when bottles were being sold, there were 7. Grabbed 3 reg and a BW for under $50. So, a little disappointed in the variants available, but happy with the price.

Jewel doesnt care and consistently does an awful job rolling out these special limited releases
Take your business elsewhere, like the Beer Temple or another high quality beer shop. They specialize and focus on craft beer and know the ins and outs of running a release. Sorry about your ****** experience.
