its hilarious looking...we did all the haze steps and added the vanilla & fruit at sorta the same time as the hops to see if the specific yeast would suspend a lil of the adjuncts and rip the flavors similar to the hops, and it turned out crazier than we planned. its pretty ****** delicious.

Picture an acquaintance posted on Facebook about 3 hours ago at Half Acre.
I had a good long laugh in my office looking at it.

This right here is why I escapee to Ferndale for the weekendOverheard at FoBAB:
"No one gives a **** about Barleywine, that **** sucks"
"More brewing is my first stop for sure"
"OMG More brewing is here"?
"Have you ever heard of Lost Abbey Cable Car?"
"The trade value isn't very high though"
Overheard at fobab... nothing because I ain’t sitting in a conference hall with a bunch of people who would say any of this.Overheard at FoBAB:

I was content with talking to you last weekend in a vat full of fart filled happinessI saw a brewery post one of those overhead shots, makes me so happy I wasn’t there. Looked like a giant vat of fart filled sardines.
There was a certain funk in the air last weekend... for sure.I was content with talking to you last weekend in a vat full of fart filled happiness
I once did one session then passed out in a hotel bathroom. Think it was the last year it was in BridgeportI wonder how the guy who is going to all three sessions is doing after two of them are in the books.

At the only RAM release I was at I heard a bunch of instant classics
"Anna is too boring"
"Def not sour enough"
"if you add peaches to any beer its an automatic win"
"that transient berliner was not as good as my degrades"
"citra hops are the best"
"I got 6 bottles, hope its good"
Well, I mean, that's not entirely wrong...."if you add peaches to any beer its an automatic win"

RIPossible Northdown?anyone know anything?
I know there was mention of a tramatic injury when they cancelled LTB. I am never one to pry and I was busy with buying a house in a different state and planning a wedding. I hope everything is going ok with Kate and Tom more than I care about having a great bar available.
It sounds like they are not closing for good, just for a few weeks for renovations. Hoping that really is the case...
edit sauce: the mikkeller running club runs out of northdown, and someone in the group got in touch with Tom and was told that
Saw something on Twitter this weekend and looking at Yelp (I felt really dirty looking at it) it appears that Northdown has permanently closed. Hoping everything is OK with Tom and Kate as they were always extremely nice whenever I stopped in over the years.

It was crowded for sure, but no better or worse than the last couple of years at the UIC Forum.

Looking like I'm gonna be a Friday.
Should I light out of work early to come line up at open? If one of the beers was Deth by Vanilla then obviously yes, show up at like 10 AM. But I'm guessing Rev gonna Rev and you can come get it at like 9 PM and be fine.
