FFB Veteran League - HBT Challenge!

Rod, think we've got a small issue. I just tried to pick up a kicker and a defense, and both are "pending waivers" until September 8th - so it doesn't look like I'm actually getting these players until after this week starts. Any way around that?

I'm in the same boat as Bird. I need a Free Agent DEF & K. I've got a waiver pending on a DEF

Yes, he can change the settings to make all unpicked players free agents and no waiver period.

For this week, I think it should be that way...after the week's games are over we should have at least a 1 day waiver period.

I have it set to no waiver / no protest - not sure what else to do.

Bird / Boston, tell me what you want to add and delete and I think I can do it for you.

Dude, if you're short a kicker, I don't think it's a problem if you pick one up. If you can't, just let me know

Yeah, I don't know why Yahoo isn't making all available players free agents with no waiver waiting period.

I just tried to pick up a kicker (Mason Crosby) and it says pending until Sep 8th.

I think if we are all going to have this problem, we should set a rule for no one to be able to play a K (possibly a D too) for week 1 until Yahoo gets this BS unfukked.

How the F were Pitts D and Vinatteri out there? I would have thought someone had both of them?

Bernie, Don't worry about McMichael. He was my last pick and I just wanted to get to bed the other night. Not a biggy.

They were both listed this morning as being "available". They were probably players that were autodrafted by someone. Again, I know I had Graham - if the consensus is that it would be more fair for me to have him as my kicker than Adam, I'm OK with that (he's supposed to be back for week 1, anyway).

I'm not trying to be a dink by claiming those guys, but I'm also not going to intentionally *not* claim the best available players to fill the roster spots that I have empty.

No problem. I didn't quite expect this much work as commish, but it had to be done. I think everyone was pretty calm considering the circumstances.

Ok, All the teams that didn't have the benefit of the draft are fixed. I'm going to reset the 2 day waiver / 2 day trade protest rules.

Feel free to add to your team if you like. If there are still situations where teams are SHORT a roster spot or I made a mistake, I'll fix those. If it's an improvement to your team, you'll have to play by the rules from this point forward.

Good luck and HOPEFULLY this is the most drama we have all year!

I saw them sitting there at the end and was VERY tempted to go outside of the "highest rated option" that I was employing and grab them. Just random luck of the draw for ya there unless someone claims them

Seems to me that Cheese is due some love. I think he should probably get the better D since he got third-rate pick ups after the draft. Walker, you had almost all of your picks given to to again, right?
