Anybody get their hands on the second generation Fermentasaurus, dubbed the Fermzilla?

It looks like they've made some great improvements (Better size for 5 gal. batches, 3" dump valve, larger collection jar, larger top opening, etc.). I would love to hear from anyone who may already have one before pulling the trigger.

Morebeer has it listed as coming soon for $119.99:

Beverage Factory has it listed for sale already for $134.99:

I have also been looking at the Minibrew 6.5xe which looks comparable, slightly smaller overall size and with smaller dump valve, although the valves are SS which is a plus, but it is more expensive. Both can handle pressurized fermentation and transfers. Anybody with thoughts on this fermenter?

MoreFlavor is expecting a couple weeks before the new models will be stocked and ready to purchase.

Looks like they improved the pressure transfer/lid assembly to use the soda-bottle or growler-style threaded Ball-lock lids, nice change.

I was looking at the Fermzilla a few days ago and it's definitely on my list. I chatted with a sales guy from a online place that sells them and he is looking at September or October so that is a ways off. But this would be perfect I think.

Kegland has a nice demo video out now. Seems like the changes they made will make it hard to find a better fermenter for the price. Can't wait for this thing to become available.

I'm probably going to end up getting 2 of these things just in case I like them. If I'm going to be doing both primary and secondary in them, they are going to be tied up. I'll end up going with more beer site this weekend. Can't wait

I'm pretty new to the home brewing game, but have been interested for many years. After a lot of research online, it seemed this Fermzilla was, hands down, the way to go. I ordered one last week from a site called Keg Factory. They had them in stock. I ordered on Saturday and got it on Wednesday. Highly recommend and they took the time to answer my newbie questions.

Ordered one as well and the pressure kit. Should arrive Tuesday or Wednesday.
Looking forward to trying it out, especially fermenting under pressure and dry hopping without opening the top.

I had planned to purchase one but the dimensions would require me to either get a bigger fermentation fridge or modify the base of the fermentor.

As an alternative I've started spunding in kegs. I start the fermentation in a bucket but transfer to a keg with a spunding valve after 3 days. So far so good. Naturally carbonated lager that's pretty clean tasting.

According to the dims I saw the width should be ok for me but I'll have to add a collar to my ferm chamber to allow for the height difference.
I brewed Saturday and currently fermenting in a keg with a floating dip tube.
Going the keg route for me means about .75 gal less beer per batch which is why I opted for the Fermzilla.

Anyone know a specific upright freezer that can be used as a ferm chamber for the Fermzilla?
