Are there any tips or tools to remove these lids easily? For the life of my I can't take the lids off of a fermentor bucket without a real struggle. I have had to revert to using a hair dryer in order to soften the plastic up. How do you remove your fermentor plastic bucket lids?

Pry up little bits at a time working all the way around, just until they make noise. Same way I use my bucket lid wrench to open it. When I misplaced it sometime last year I found I could do the same with my fingers just as easy.

about $8.00 and will save your fingers

Dawg beat me to it

What buckets are you using? Mine come off no problem. They're snug, but still come off easily when I pull.

My first buckets were easy too. Then I added a couple new ones from NB and struggled with them cause they had quite a tight seal. I had to buy the tool cause I was scared id rip the lid off and send beer everywhere. The tool taught me that I was just opening it the wrong way.

It is a brand new Better Brew bucket and i have ripped the skin off of my fingers trying to open it twice now. I totally forgot about or didn't know that these tools existed, hence the tread. I just found one on amazon prime for around seven bucks and ordered it immediately.

Thanks for the heads up.
