Fermenting with coffee

So I made a chocolate coffee stout a week ago. I am getting to the point where I want to dry hop but I want to try some coffee beans. Would that work?

I would assume so. I made a chocolate vanilla java stout, and I added vanilla and the coffee after a week. I added cold steeped coffee tho

I didn't use chocolate. I used chocolate grains. It was a mellow mix of all theee

I've racked onto cold brewed coffee as well. I just did it in the keg, but if I were bottling I would have added it in carboy.
