Anyone know if i can use an igloo/rrubbermaid cooler w/spigot as a
prrimary fermentter?new obviously

Seems like it'd be hard to seal airtight and leave a sanitary escape for CO2 to escape (like with an airlock). Maybe someone else has done this before, but it sounds unfeasible to me.

You can use most anything that will hold liquid as a fermenter as long as it is sanitized before you use it and you have some kind of cover to keep bugs/dirt out. Make sure is doesn't seal as it needs to vent excess CO2. Beer was made for many years before these fancy plastic pails with lids and airlocks came into fashion.

Makes you wonder how they kept everything sanitized in the olden days. It's hard enough with all the fancy chemicals nowadays!
