Hi, has anyone had a dark ale go from 1.050 to 1.019 in 22 hours. Very little settlement in the bottom. My fifth batch ever, not sure if I should re-pitch.

I've had beers ferment out in 24 hours! Usually, it because I pitched too warm before the wort cooled, but not always.

Why do you think you should repitch? The beer is nearly done, and there is plenty of yeast in there to finish the job.

Check it in another week or so if you're in a hurry to rush it to bottle, or wait three weeks if you have the patience.

Thank you. I guess I'm just used to seeing a lot of settlement and days of visible fermenting. Even when it was visible, it looked weak.
