(because the weather was perfect outside and i was on vacation from work) i had to brew even tho all my buckets are full. i fermented in 1 of my 5 gallon carboys, which are usually my secondaries.((If needed)) (with a blow off tube, and a small beer 1.040)

i always used bucket as a primary before.

OMG

what a pleasure to watch fermentation in progress.

going to buy a 6 gallon carboy for primary next trip to LHBS.

bye, bye plastic.

oh yeah, goin LHBS today. he's runnin special buy an in house beer kit, get one half off.

hmmmm

smoked porter and blonde ale. maybe. we'll see when i get there.

cheers
brew on

Sounds like you'll need to do a blend of the two later (two bottles mixed in the glass all the blonde, slowly add the porter to get to the right level) for a Smokin' Blonde. I did that with my Alderwood Smoked Porter and a buddy's Irish Red for a Smokin' Redhead...mmmm.
