Hey everyone,
So last night I brewed a 5gal batch of IPA with a OG of 1.062. Aeration by rolling the carboy back and forth after pitching 1 packet of 1056. Pitched yeast at 68degrees temp. Woke up the next morning and went to go see if it had started ripping and nothing was happening. So I went and checked the room temp at it was at 62. So I am guessing that the wort had dropped below 62 during the night time and probably didn't get back up to 68 way till later (don't have heaters etc.) My question is trying to find out if the yeast was just slowed down and will pick back up? or did I mess up because it kind of started to put them in suspension? I figured id give it two more days to see if it picked up before I throw the batch out, any suggestions? I have not ran a gravity but there is some co2 releasing very slowly. thanks
