Fermentation overflow...does it matter

Should I clean the outside of this or at least maybe the air lock?
This is my first 5 gallon batch...and it's a blonde ale if that helps.

I would clean the airlock out at least. Just to make sure it doesn't suck anything bad back in when it mellows out or cools off. Other than that, it doesn't look too bad.
