I have a Scottish ale in the secondary on its 3rd day. It was in the primary for 10 days. How much longer would keep it in the secondary before racking?

Another 7 days should be enough to clear it. Most of us just leave the brew in the fermenter for 3 weeks.

Secondary for at least a week; that will clear it nicely. You won't hurt the beer by leaving it longer - bigger beers especially do nicely with bulk aging, but you don't HAVE to wait longer.
