So I have been home brewing for about 3 years and I haven't changed anything from what my brewing mentor taught me. With fermentation I do primary for two weeks and secondary up to 6 weeks depending on the style. I recently brewed an imperial IPA. I pitched WLP090 using a 2L starter. It was noticeably fermenting in 2 hours and full throttle within 6 hours. I have read that this yeast ferments quickly and it leads me to wonder if this beer will be ready to drink faster. I was originally planning 2 weeks primary and 3 secondary. I'm really excited about this one and would not mind a pint earlier. Any thoughts or advice?

You could skip secondary and just primary 3-4 weeks, then check the gravity. If it's finished, bottle/keg.

Enjoy!:mug:
