I scored a vial of ECY20 and brewed up about 8 gallons of a lambic-style wort. After racking to secondary, I collected a 2 cup jar of the cake to use for inoculating a subsequent batch, which will be a sort of solera project of the same recipe. I took another couple cups of the slurry and started another 8 gallons of a dark sour.

I have another 200ml left; about 90ml of which is pure settled cake. According to mrmalty, 90ml of the thickest slurry should be enough for essentially 13 gal of 1.030 wort.

My question: I'm looking to feed this left over portion of bugs in order to keep them healthy for something else down the line. No plans for them, just figure I might as well keep them and feed them, instead of throw it out. How much wort should I pitch this into? I'm thinking maybe approximately 3 qts, keeping it in a 1 gal jug. Does it matter that the inoculation rate is grossly above the optimum?

Nope. Keep it in the jug, maybe decant and feed it once a month or two. Great way to store bugs.
