I started brewing at 9am and was done by 1pm today. I had a brewed coffee, but never was in the mood for a cold one (until now). Technically, I haven't pitched the yeast (got the starter going a little late) so maybe I'm still 'brewing'.

Can I still be part of the club? ;)

Heh - a beer during brewing is more often the exception here - 3 kids under 4 at home means brewing is done in the morning and the burner is usually fired by 5 am, and yeast pitched by 9. I certainly enjoy the homebrews, but prefer a cup of coffee at that point in the day.

This is legal in most States....

I have been known to do two 11 Gallon batches and the same day and not HAHB...

You beer does not care if you do or don't have a beer while you are making it and neither do the Beer Gods because they know that you are making the "amber liquid of joy" and so it will be consumed... They appreciate your faithfulness...
