I don't think most people would buy an 8 dollar can of beer. There are still perceptions that would keep that from happening.
Not most people...but beer geeks like us? Yeah, most of us would....

Yeah, good point. It isn't like there are bottles of La Folie on every shelf out here either. Our bars are regularly stocked with that and Eric's on tap though, so I won't complain.
So tdavisii, buddy, have we convinced you to join the 21st century yet? Bottles are so old school dontjaknow!
(Old people these days, so resistant to change.)
Im on my way. slowly but surely. But im still a little hurt by your shlitz comment

But they are willing to pay $8 for 12-16 oz BMC at a baseball/football/hokey/concert. I guess its all perspective.
It just occurred to me that MOST people aren't going to try an $8.00 bottle of a beer they've never heard of especially with a "funny name" like La Folie, or Rogue Dead Guy, either.....I keep forgetting sometimes that the whole world doesn't share our knowledge, interest, passion, or willingness to try different beers, anyway.
(That's just means more for the rest of us!!!)
.All this BMC bashing REVVY.............I challenge you to brew one. Its not as easy as it appears. I have several BMC buddies. Since i love to brew and share i have brewed three now, all lagers. I agree i love trying new beer and by choice i usually dont drink BMC. So mister BMC basher put your money where your mouth is
When its done we can arrange a swap:rockin:
You guys are making my head hurt. All this BMC bashing REVVY.............
I totally see what your saying Revvy maybe the "bashing" word was inappropriate. But you didnt mention anything of my challenge. So your backing down???? You know intimidation of a brewing out side your box is a symtom of this new word i learned.......what is it.............oh yea....noobitus
ME YOU BMC CLONE
Kahuna yes maybe i was poking REVVY with a stick i admit but only in good fun.
In fact I've made the same suggestions to people who were, the same challenge that you did to me, to try to brew them....I admit not to having the skill to do it....and just because I don't personally like light lagers, doesn't mean I hate those who drink it...or even hate it, in itself....
Also, some of my favorites are canned.
This is real? You can actually get Rodenbach in a can?
It is rare i can find a bottle of Rodenbach so i'm sure I would never find it in a can but I'm still surprised it exists.
If I ever see some good brews in a can you can be sure I will buy them. However Cleveland is a very conservative beer market so i don't see it happening any time soon.
