Saison from Nov 2013.

Lemon pith lacto, pineapple. Flat and pretty sour. It's one of "those" tomes... I have no idea wtf is happening but I'm 100% on board.

First crack at Santé 21 and I'm impressed. Slightly boozy and sweet, with the Tome funk hanging out back. Solid cork pop and good carb. Gonna hide my second bottle for a few years, for science

This one drank ******* great. No issues. Drank half the bottle.
Also drank a pour of 2012 Hiver but was too intoxicated to photograph. Just the faintest hint of tire because I was looking for it. Drank my pour heartily. Enjoyed anyway. Cheers Knwrs!

I think the following year. First one was 12 I think, the second was whenever the first Artist arrived in the states, I got them both at the same time I believe.

Batch 3 should be out soon.

Tome Tuesday! Another winner from danyP Very spicy, some underlying sweetness, huge cork pop but no gusher. Very unique.

Been a while since I’ve had the spotted one. ******* weirdly delightful: starts off with mint and lemon and then finishes off all wood and resin. Crazy unique, per usual.

its been a really long time since ive had a bottle of anything that seemingly changes with every sip. this reminds me of what old blonde ete of the 06ish era was like mixed with Fantome Gillmoir (jesus who even remembers that brew?!)

Don't mind the dishes. I got Blanche'd for the first time over the weekend. The beer, perhaps unsurprisingly, tasted like a grapefruit wit. Grapefruit, bitterness, estery stuff. Carb was maybe a little high but not distractingly so. I enjoyed it.

I picked a bad batch to buy in bulk. Keep waiting for it to come around, but it's just not there yet. Clove, phenols, and bitterness. Heavy mouthfeel. Not looking promising, but ya gotta roll them 'Tome dice.

I'll go through 11 bottles, and then the 12th - and last - one I drink will be amazing.

Damn I haven't had one single bad bottle of sur lie or saison yet (out of 10 or so). None have had that color either, they've all been much closer to ne hazebro ipa.

For me it goes, tropical > lemon > strawberry > pear on the classics

... though this keg of strawberry batch is still really enjoyable

I solo'd a Blanche this morning. No pics cause my kid had my phone. Ton of carb, bitter, a touch peppery and grapefruit for days. Will crush many many more.

A friend was selling off part of his cellar, so I've recently come into a variety of older 'Tomes. First one I've opened is a 2012 Boo. First time with it. Unfortunately, it was a bit smokey, but not undrinkable. Looking forward to working my way through these bottles.

Has anyone here visited Fantome while in Belgium? Would you recommend doing so?

Yes, highly recommend, Dany was great to meet, such a great place. Definitely contact him ahead of time to arrange the visit, not sure how normal of weekend hours he has. Soy, and the surrounding countryside are beautiful.

The drive wasn’t bad at all, easy day trip, but might be nice to spend more time in that area, so booking a place would be good as well.
