False bottom hole size

My brother put together a false bottom for me. I noticed the holes may be too large? I (hopefully) attached photos.
It will be used in a herms setup, so draining into a pump.

Definitely too large. That looks like 3/16" holes to my eyes and typical false bottoms are 3/32".
