I went with a 10" false bottom in a keggle (bottom drain). When the false bottom arrived, it was flat (I had expected it to be domed). So it's not only small, but the space underneath is minimal; it is the concaved keg that provides the gap under the false bottom. Does this seem like it would be an effective enough false bottom?

He is a pic of the bottom of my keggle MLT. I went with 10" so that the dents wouldn't provide a place for grains to sneak around the false bottom.

Thanks in advance.

It should be fine if it's strong enough. The benefit of the dome is the added strength against the pressure of the mash.

Is it flimsy?

It isn't really flimsy but I was gonna out a stainless eye bolt in the middle to hold it in place. I can probably find a way for it to prevent the center from caving in.
