false bottom alternative

I just put together my cooler mash tun, I have a 10 gallon rubber maid cooler, and I was looking at false bottoms or false bottom alternatives.

THe 12" false bottoms ive seen are around $40, and I was wondering what people what people recommend as far as manifold or braided tubing.

I use a stainless steel braid. Its connected in a circle with quick disconnects
