Hi all. I made my first batch and I bottled some from a keg. I used the ezcap bottles and I noticed the beer was a bit flat when I drank it a couple days later. I used a bottom filling filler and it still seemed flat.

Is this because of the ezcap bottles? Would I have better luck with traditional caps?

Thanks

I dont have the experience to talk about your carbonation, but in my case I haven't had issues with the ezcaps. I batch prime instead of bottle prime so I don't have to worry about individual bottle sizes.

I do prefer the ezcap bottles, ib my experience they work well, and look much better than capped bottles. I also like not having to cap as many bottles.

I've had no issues with carbonation in EZ Cap bottles either. I batch prime with corn sugar as well.

Thanks.

Maybe I did it wrong. The kegged beer is perfect. The bottler I used forces co2 in first then fills beer. I just noticed the beer from the bottle was not as carbonated as from the keg. Maybe I will try bottling some the traditional way and compare.

I'd love to try carbing in a keg before bottling, especially when I try to make a zombie killer clone soon, so if you try it again let us know if it works better the second time around and what you might have done different to make it work for you.

Maybe try new gaskets?
