Local suppliers are too expensive or the kits are old. I've been using northern brewer for the last 2 years. I'd like to have more options. Any ideas?

I absolutely love Austin Homebrew. I've never had a problem with them with ~40 shipments over last 3 years or so. I find their prices very reasonable, and they have the largest collection of extract kits I've ever seen. www.austinhomebrew.com

Make your own kit. Before there were "kits" I would take my malt x-tract bucket, my list of hops, yeast, and other adjuncts to my local LHB pick and pull and out the door. Same as a kit all I did was package it myself. And it allowed me as much variety as you could get with x-tract brewing.
