I have an opportunity to buy a slightly used Sam's Club (Sunjoy brand) 34 quart stainless steel turkey fryer with a 52,000 BTU propane burner for $50. I know that some on the board have purchased similar equipment from Sam's Club, and I am curious to know what people's experience has been with it. Is it durable, reliable, etc.? Also, how's $50 versus what you paid for it.

Thanks!

This is what I use to brew with. While it has a short history as a brew kettle, I've used it for numerous batches of oysters, clams, crabs, and at least a dozen turkeys. It's been in use for 5 years or so and is still going strong. The pot has been holding up nicely and the riveted handles are still secure. I did have to replace the regulator last year but that was only a $20 repair. Based on my experiences, I recommend it.
