Experience with a waterwash?

Theoretically wouldn't water, yeast, and sugar brew some type of hooch? I've read conflicting reports as far as the effectiveness goes but this does open the door for some potentially crap moonshine, no?

no, yeast need nutes to ferment.....when i was doing sugar washes i made a wheat germ tea, and added it for the yeast to ferment......(and the flavor wasn't bad)

lol, hell once i even drank the wash mixed with coke for a month.....
