Hey all,
Would anyone say that the excessive pressure caused by a clogged blowoff tube could result in any negative (or positive haha) effects during fermentation. I have a dubbel going quite vigourously in a fermentation bucket. I attached tubing to the airlock as its the only way I can rig up an blowoff system. Problem is that the airlock gets clogged every few hours and I have to pull it to release the pressure. Does the fact that the fermentation is going under a decent amount of pressure (I got a solid burst of air and spew of krausen when I pull it in the mornings and night) effect the fermentation or yeasties at all? Its been going like this for like 3 days now. Thanks everyone. Helpful general info about pressure and fermentation is welcome as well!
