Considering this has been in the fermentor for almost 5 months do I need to consider the possibility of the yeast being dormant now? I am not in a hurry so would priming normally and waiting be fine or should I consider adding yeast? I seem to remember reading a thread where they discussed adding a grain of yeast to each bottle but with the excessive info on Apfelwein I have thrown my hands up on my search skills. Thanks for the help and looking forward to enjoying what everyone raves about!!

You're probably fine. Yeast stays in suspension, not all of it falls out. However, if you want to be safe, go ahead and add a grain or two of yest to each bottle when carbonating.
