A friend of mine and I are brewing a double espresso milk stout, extract. We are at the point of transferring to secondary and are wondering what the best route to go for the espresso part? Do we just put the beans in to the secondary, brew the espresso, cold press...other options.

What is anyone's experiences and recommendations? We are doing this part tonight.

Thanks!

I brewed 16 oz. of espresso and added it to the priming tank prior to bottling. It was awesome. However, if you would like to make two varieties here, I would suggest bottling the first half, then add 8oz. of espresso to the bottling bucket. Then finish bottling. That way you get a non-espresso milk stout and an espresso milk stout. That way you can compare each and decide which you like best. Best of both worlds.....
