Suprises me given the cost of gasoline. Horses aren't cheap though...
 
That's too bad. How cool is that? To get ale delivered to your home pub by horsedrawn cart (or whatever they call it). I wonder if the horses get to taste any. If they don't, it just wouldn't seem fair.

BTW - Anybody have a recipe for Adnam's Broadside special ale? I'm always on the lookout, for it's a wonderful ale.
 
I bet if you add up the cost per mile, horses are way more expensive than a truck. They're serious hay burning machines, especially the big draft horses like these.

Too bad though. I have a soft spot for horses - I grew up around them. I've been kicked, bit, bucked off, and rolled over on. Somehow I still miss having horses around.
