Does anybody have information on water heater elements and the temperature/flow ratios? Basically, I want to know what kind of temperature rise I can expect out of electric water heater elements at particular flow rates. I am worker on an inline heater and this info would be useful, perhaps a RIM brewer might know.

120 or 240 volt? A typical 240 heater is 5500 watts and will give you 15F @ 2.5 gpm. 120 volts elements are more likely to be 1500 watts and give you 10F @ 1 gpm.

Are those related to a particular diameter of tubing, say 1"? I was actually considering the use of two 240 element, which would give me something like 70-80 degrees at 1 gpm. Right?
